  • Massive disruption of the global nitrogen cycle by agriculture and other human activities leads to collapsing ecosystems. The kick-off event focuses on these environmental issues.
  • Key lecture by an internationally renowned invited speaker: Prof. James Prosser (University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom).
    • How agriculture affects the nitrogen cycle and why essential soil microbes amplify the environmental impact of fertilization.
    • Scientific challenges to be overcome to mitigate these problems.
